Gingerbread in a Glass

I was recently introduced by a friend to DedBest Distillery near Lewes in East Sussex. Part of the new wave of small-batch craft distillers, over the past few years they’ve been producing a gin with delicious notes of hibiscus and a vodka that is filtered through Sussex oak charcoal.
Late last year they added a new and very unique product to their range – GINgerbread liqueur. Freshly baked gingerbread is steeped overnight in their gin, then filtered and reduced to a very quaffable 21% abv. The heady aroma and viscous palate is astounding and genuinely nothing like I’ve tasted before.
Perfect to savour over ice or as a next-level splash in a coffee or hot chocolate, DedBest’s GINgerbread liqueur is now a firm favourite on my drinks trolley at home.
